King’s College Cambridge Wedding Photography: Deirdre + Paul

The rainy summer continued for Deirdre and Paul’s big day in Cambridge at the church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs, Cambridge. In honour of Deridre’s best friend Kizzy – the table settings in the stunning Great Hall at King’s College Cambridge all had a cat theme! There was plenty of evening entertainment to be had with sweets and a magician for the kids and a casino for the grown ups 🙂

for a moment there I thought you were taking the mick then I realised which shot you meant! Yes it was very rainy that day limiting what we could do with groups (and we were very pressed for time) and inside was suuuper dark so I had to use a tripod for the group shot to get any kind of depth of field. Having set it up, I thought it would be fun to do a long exposure of everyone returning to their seats … in retrospect I could have got the B+G to freeze for a few moments while they did it – that would have been really cool.

Love the light during the ceremony, and your group shot, and the shot with the motion blur. Fantastic job on the whole wedding!!

Thanks Kari .. there wasn’t much in the way of light all day to be fair. I’ve never pushed my ISO like I had to that day. I hired the 70-200 2.8 II but was pretty much totally unable to use it. Saved by the 24/1.4 + 100/2
